A couple of Ideas for armor abilities in the final game

Over Shield
Give you a shield 2 times as large as normal till you pick a new ability.

Energy Bomb
Allows you to throw up to 2 bombs (till recharged) that will stick to anything but shield and only takes energy but does no damage.

Blink
Allows you to teleport up to 20 feet in front of you but it has to be a spot covered with your ridicle and you can’t go throw walls.

Recover
Allows you to instantly recharge you shield even under fire.

Jackal Shield
Give you a jackal shield that stays up on your arm and when you press LB you bring it up to cover you face and part of your chest but when it is under fire it depletes it energy and when there is no energy left it won’t come back till the energy is fully replenished.

Energy Bunker
Allows you to create a large energy shield but it doesn’t move. (Like deployable cover)

Holo Cloner
Allows you to create an AL that looks like you but has a smaller shield, less health, and does less damage than you.

Heat Vision
Allows you to see heat or cold of enemies throw walls and just making it easier to see them.

A lot of these are really unbalanced or redundant.

Like "Recover". Now in a mid range confrontation if one player has Recover on and the other doesn't, the player with Recover would win 99 percent of the time, regardless of skill.

Ok some defects in the abilities

Over Shield
Give you only 1.5 % more shield

Blink
It takes 1 second before it teleports you

Recover
It will recharge you shield but it only has enough energy to recharge it fully so if your under fire it will simply stall the drop in shield.

Energy Bomb
Only take out 75 % of a Spartans shield less for elites

Holo Cloner
The clone does no damage to enemies

Well, while creative, alot of these abilities are kind of unbalanced.
Overshields of any kind would make you too strong at spawn giving you an almost garanteed multikill.
Energy Bomb has been done.... its called a plasma pistol.
Blink is impossible seeing as neither UNSC or Covenant have that technology.
Recover sounds nice, but in the past, any forced sheild recovery(overshield) has made you invincible during recharge.
The Jackal Sheild would actually be nice, and its in the fiction.
Deployable cover is unnecessary seeing as we already have armor lock and you already proposed a jackal shield.
Now as for the holo cloner, bungie has already mentioned this. i couldnt cite it but theyve mentioned it. as for applications... i dunno.
Lastly, heat vision...... its an idea, but not very practical for halos playstyle.

The armor ability that allows you to deploy a clone has been decided upon. Also, Recovery is also in the game, but slightly altered, as it is now called Drop Shield and it is a bubble shield that, when deployed, heals all team mates inside it. Basically a Regenerator mixed with a Bubble Shield.
